Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using EdUsaathiAI ("the Platform", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. What EdUsaathiAI Is

EdUsaathiAI is an AI-powered learning companion platform. We provide subject-specific AI bots ("Saathis") that assist students, faculty, and learners with educational content.

3. AI Disclaimer — Important

EdUsaathiAI Saathis are AI learning companions. They are NOT licensed professionals.

• KanoonSaathi is NOT a lawyer and does NOT provide legal advice.
• MedicoSaathi is NOT a doctor and does NOT provide medical diagnosis.
• PharmaSaathi is NOT a pharmacist.
• PsychSaathi is NOT a therapist.
• No Saathi replaces qualified professionals.

Always consult a licensed professional for legal, medical, financial, or psychological matters.

4. Eligibility

You must be 13 years or older to use EdUsaathiAI. Users under 18 require parental or guardian consent. By registering, you confirm you meet these requirements.

5. User Account

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Providing accurate registration information
• Notifying us of any unauthorised access

6. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Share your account with others
• Attempt to extract AI training data
• Use the Platform for illegal purposes
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Attempt to bypass security measures
• Use automated bots to access the Platform
• Impersonate other users or professionals

7. Subscription and Payments

Free Tier

Available to all users at no cost with daily chat limits.

Founding Student Access

First 500 students receive 60 days of full Plus access at no cost. No payment card required. After 60 days, access reverts to Free tier unless upgraded.

Paid Plans

• Saathi Plus: ₹199/month or ₹1,499/year
• Saathi Pro: ₹499/month or ₹3,999/year
• Saathi Unlimited: ₹4,999/month (no annual)

All payments processed via Razorpay, a licensed Indian payment gateway. Prices are inclusive of applicable taxes.

Cancellation

Plus and Pro plans may be cancelled anytime. Cancellation takes effect at end of billing period.

Refund Policy

• Plus and Pro: Pro-rata refunds available within 7 days of charge if unused
• Unlimited: No refunds. Pause anytime instead.
• Founding Access: Not applicable (free)

Pause

Plus, Pro, and Unlimited subscribers may pause their subscription (max 2 times/year). Billing is frozen during pause period.

7a. Live-Session Bookings

This section governs payments for individual live sessions or workshops booked through the platform — separate from the monthly subscription plans covered in section 7.

The three parties

Every live-session booking involves three parties with distinct commitments:

• EdUsaathiAI (platform): processes the payment via Razorpay, delivers the meeting link 24 hours before the session, and guarantees a full refund if the session is cancelled by the faculty or by the platform.
• Faculty: sets the price, any prerequisites or terms, and the refund window for student-initiated cancellation. These become part of the booking contract at the moment the first seat is booked and cannot be unilaterally changed afterwards.
• Student: pays to hold a specific seat, not to attend. A booked seat is committed — see the no-show clause below.

Refund eligibility

• Faculty cancels the session: 100% refund to every booked student, processed within 7 working days to the original payment method.
• Platform cancels the session (rare — technical failure, faculty-account suspension, safety concern): same as above — 100% refund within 7 working days.
• Student cancels within the faculty's refund window:100% refund. The refund window is shown on the booking page as "Full refund if cancelled N hours or more before the first lecture" and is fixed once the first seat is booked.
• Student cancels after the refund window: no refund. The seat was held from another student for the committed duration.
• Student books and does not attend (no-show): no refund. A paid booking is a commitment to attend — the fee secures the seat, not the act of attendance.

Free sessions

Sessions priced at ₹0 follow the same seat-commitment rules — cancelling within the faculty's window frees the seat for another student. No-show on a free session does not carry a financial forfeit but may affect your standing for high-demand bookings in the future.

Disputes

If you believe a refund was wrongly denied, email support@edusaathiai.in within 7 days of the session. Include your booking ID and a brief explanation. The admin team reviews the frozen faculty terms at time of booking alongside your complaint. Razorpay chargeback is the last resort and should only be used after a platform resolution attempt.

Consent

Clicking "Pay" on the booking page constitutes your informed consent to this section and the specific terms set by the faculty for that session. A consent checkbox is presented before every paid and free booking.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on EdUsaathiAI — including bot personas, soul engine technology, platform design, and educational frameworks — is the intellectual property of EdUsaathiAI, Ahmedabad. Unauthorised reproduction is prohibited.

User-generated content (questions, notes) remains yours. You grant us a limited licence to process it to provide the service.

9. Privacy

Your use of EdUsaathiAI is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. We comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.

10. Limitation of Liability

EdUsaathiAI is provided "as is". We are not liable for:

• Accuracy of AI-generated content
• Decisions made based on Saathi responses
• Service interruptions or data loss
• Indirect or consequential damages

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 3 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in account sharing or abuse
• Attempt to harm the Platform or other users

You may delete your account anytime via Profile → My Data → Delete Account.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Significant changes will be notified via email. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance.
